AlmavivA Partner to the first edition of the Enterprise Application Governance Observatory promoted by the School of Management of the Milan Polytechnic

AlmavivA is set to contribute to the organization of the first edition of the Enterprise Application Governance Observatory, promoted by the School of Management of the Milan Polytechnic, in the capacity of technology partner.

The aim of the Observatory is to analyze the state of the art of enterprise applications and of the architectures of corporate information systems, investigating how the transformations emerging from the consumer sector are affecting the evolution of internal systems. The purpose of the Survey, therefore, is to understand the development processes undertaken by Italian businesses and the strategic roadmaps, taking into account their impact on corporate and governance processes, with regard to the application portfolios.

Hybrid Cloud, Microservices, API Management are just several examples of technological elements that are transforming the application architectures of Corporate Information Systems. These transformations are enabling new models for using IT services, but have a strong impact on the governance of IT architectures. The IT Manager is therefore required to adapt his internal processes to the new work methods, such as Agile and DevOps. The IT management is also required to understand how the business priorities are changing and how they can affect the functional evolution of the applications.

AlmavivA, in partnership with the other supporters of the Survey, will contribute to promoting the evolution of the information system architectures and supporting the end user companies in the process of analyzing and assessing the organizational and technological impacts, by supporting a broad survey among a number of Italian businesses, in a range of different sectors, as well as case studies and methodological frameworks, participating in dedicated workshops and the conference of presentation of the end results: several activities provided by the Observatory in the 2016 Survey.

The Digital Innovation Observatories of the Milan Polytechnic’s School of Management, established in 1999, are at the forefront of Digital Innovation in Italy today, through their Research, Communication and Training activities. The Observatories carry out scientific research work to create and spread culture in our country n the opportunities and impacts of digital solutions, services and technologies, also thanks to discussions between and by bringing together businesses, with regard to demand and supply, involving them in a neutral and pre-competitive Network.
