In an interview by Teleborsa, Andrea Bei, Head of Digital Services at ReActive | Almaviva Group talks about artificial intelligence and the Re:aXelerate use case.

“We’ve developed a process that accompanies the most promising AI use cases from concept to testing to industrialization. One highly promising case, funded by ReActive, involves using AI to modernize obsolete banking applications.

A significant portion of the finance industry’s operations are based on applications that have been in use for many years and are now obsolete. This has led to the accumulation of a technical debt, which manifests as a poor understanding of existing applications, challenges adapting to change, difficulty adopting cloud solutions, and slow time-to-market. Our tool, Re:aXelerate, enhances the ability to recover the business logic of old applications containing millions of lines of code, thus speeding up the work of a human analyst. Our view is that, with the current state of technology, AI-based solutions are most effective when complemented by a synergistic and collaborative human contribution.”
