Blood cannot be bought and it cannot be produced in a laboratory. It can only be donated.
Donating blood is a voluntary act that costs nothing. It is a civic duty, a tangible gesture of solidarity with others. It celebrates the value of life, breaks down barriers of gender, race, religion, and ideology, and is one of the few moments of real preventive medicine. Donating blood requires only a small personal effort, but helps save many lives.
For years, the Almaviva Group has been at the forefront of promoting this act of solidarity, which makes us part of an enormous collective effort, and has supported the Italian Red Cross in Rome, a city that is still far from achieving the same self-sufficiency that almost all other Italian cities have, by organizing Blood Donation Day, this year on September 18th at the Casal Boccone headquarters.
Become a donor: it takes only a few minutes to save the life of someone you don’t know.
