“Including the irrigation supply chain in the digitalization of the integrated water system is strategic,” said Fulvio Conti, Director of Customer Project Management at Almaviva, during the conference “Water and Agriculture: Policies and Tools for Innovation and Efficiency”, held yesterday and promoted by Fondazione UniVerde and Coldiretti with the support of UNESCO WWAP and Almaviva as a main partner.
“At present, the Almaviva Group is definitely the most qualified player to tackle this challenge, thanks to our familiarity with agricultural data, our engineering/hydraulic expertise, and a wide range of applicable technologies. Our platform enables integrated management with a single point of access to all relevant network and resource data, and makes it possible for the consortia to make informed decisions that accompany them in the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices.”
During the event, at which Tommasi Foti (the Minister for European Affairs, the PNRR, and Cohesion Policies) was present, the 15th edition of the “Italians and Agriculture” report was also presented. This year’s edition, compiled by the Fondazione Univerde and Noto Sondaggi, in collaboration with Coldiretti, ANBI, and Fondazione Campagna Amica, focused on water, agriculture, and the climate crisis.
