With this development, Almaviva consolidates the group’s services under a single corporate entity, aiming to accelerate an industrial plan focused on growth in a rapidly expanding market.
Introducing Almaviva Bluebit, a new Almaviva Group company created to support the digital transformation of water resource management. Almaviva Bluebit’s mission is to consolidate the group’s services into a single corporate entity, further develop these services, and establish a strong presence in a constantly evolving market.
Almaviva Bluebit combines the expertise and activities of BM Tecnologie Industriali and 2f Water Venture, both of which joined the Almaviva Group a year and a half ago. At the helm of the new company, for the purpose of continuity, Antonio Amati assumes the role of President, while Franco Masenello serves as CEO and Cristina Scarpel is entrusted with General Management.
“Technology has the potential to revolutionize water resource management, driving the digital transition with a focus on sustainability and efficiency,” emphasizes Antonio Amati, Deputy CEO of Almaviva’s IT Division and President of Almaviva Bluebit. “Almaviva has been a leading player for years in this strategic sector for the national economy, businesses, agriculture, and individuals. The new corporate structure aims to sharpen its skills and enhance its operational framework in order to seize the opportunities offered by a rapidly and profoundly evolving market.”
The name Almaviva Bluebit, calling to mind both water and digital technology, reflects the industrial objective of creating a synergistic alignment between engineering and digital innovation.
“Almaviva Bluebit will strengthen and expand its leadership in delivering end-to-end solutions for the water sector,” emphasizes Franco Masenello, CEO of the new company. “Our integrated solutions range from engineering services to network surveying on GIS systems, from mathematical modeling to the design of water and sewerage districts,” continues Masenello. “These capabilities are complemented by expertise in instrumental engineering for monitoring aqueducts and sewer systems, managing leaks, and implementing smart metering, all supported by proprietary digital platforms such as the Smart Water Management System (SWMS), the Control Room, the Giotto platform, the Centralized Acquisition System (SAC), and cybersecurity solutions.”
With this development, Almaviva aims to accelerate an industrial plan focused on growth in the rapidly expanding water sector. According to the “2024 White Paper - Water Value for Italy”, drafted by The European House - Ambrosetti, the extended water supply chain generated an added value of €367.5 billion in 2022, accounting for 19% of the national GDP, an increase of 8.7% compared to 2021.
Almaviva Bluebit’s strategic goal is to strengthen its position as a leader in providing digital solutions for water resource management, thanks to its proprietary platforms and unique expertise. The growth roadmap includes consolidating its presence in the domestic market while expanding into international markets.
